Arsenal finally conquered Anfield, Brighton broke new ground in Manchester, and Bournemouth kept their remarkable shutout streak rolling. Here are 10 numbers behind the latest Premier League action.

1. Arsenal’s 14-year Anfield wait ends

Arsenal’s 1-0 victory at Liverpool was their first Premier League win at Anfield since September 2012. Mikel Arteta played in that win, a 2-0 victory secured by goals from Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla.

2. Havertz takes Germany’s crown

Kai Havertz’s winner was his 46th Premier League goal, taking him past Ilkay Gundogan’s 45 to become the competition’s highest-scoring German. His combined tally for Chelsea and Arsenal now puts him ahead.

3. The Gunners join the 300 club

That Anfield breakthrough also delivered Arsenal’s 300th Premier League away victory. Manchester United are the only other club to have reached the milestone, giving an already significant result another slice of history.

4. Liverpool draw another blank

Liverpool have failed to register a shot on target in either of their last two league meetings with Arsenal. Their latest frustration came despite attempting 17 shots, with Florian Wirtz hitting the crossbar.

5. Leaders keep it lean

Arsenal have scored just 14 goals through nine matches, the fewest by any Premier League leader at this stage across the last 10 seasons. The Gunners are setting the pace without setting the scoring charts alight.

6. Nyoni’s passing precision

Trey Nyoni completed 53 of his 55 passes against Arsenal, a 96% success rate. Before his substitution, he also led every player on the pitch for completed passes and line-breaking passes, with 14.

7. Bournemouth make it six

Bournemouth’s 2-0 win over Leeds extended their winning streak to six matches across all competitions. Even more impressively, every victory came with a clean sheet, with the Cherries scoring 16 goals without reply.

8. Brighton lead the scoring

Brighton finished the weekend third, with a league-leading 24 goals from nine matches. Their latest victory required only one, though, as Yasin Ayari struck the decisive blow against Manchester City.

9. City’s scoring streak stops

Brighton’s defensive effort ended Manchester City’s scoring run in 24 consecutive Premier League matches. City attempted 21 shots, including six on target, but could not find a way past Bart Verbruggen.

10. Seagulls succeed at the 18th attempt

Brighton’s 1-0 triumph was their first away win against Manchester City in any competition. Their previous 17 visits had produced five draws and 12 defeats, making this a breakthrough after almost half a century.
