Watch: Amorim jokingly gives the floor to Cardinale after Endrick question
Ruben Amorim was asked about the potential signing of Endrick during today’s press conference, but he quickly diverted responsibility to Gerry Cardinale, who was present in the room.
During the long international break, presumably due to the lack of games, there was a lot of talk about the transfer market and potential January reinforcements. One of the players mentioned was Endrick, mainly as Pato confirmed that Cardinale had tried to sign him in the summer.
As such, when Amorim sat down for the Sassuolo-Milan pre-match presser today, he got asked some questions about the mercato too. Endrick was specoificaölly mentioned in one of them, but the gaffer had an easy out this time.
Amorim jokes with Cardinale
“About new players, you can ask Cardinale who’s here today (laughs). No, no. I’m only focused on my players. We have so many games that December doesn’t exist to me yet. I can tell you that Camarda is going to play more minutes now. He’s ready and will clearly play more minutes moving forward.
“Then in December, I have no idea what is going to happen, I’m just thinking about winning games now. Camarda is going to have more space and more minutes. Since day one, I have expected a lot from him and he needs to be ready now when given the chance,” he responded.
