A dramatic ending saw Milan Futuro clinch all three points against Villa Valle on Sunday evening, coming back from behind to win 1-2.

Sergio Navarro’s side headed into the game in good form, having clinched their second league win against Brusaporto mid-week. However, this perhaps wasn’t super obvious at the start of the clash, as Villa Valle took control of the first half.

Indeed, if you consider the chances created, it wouldn’t have been unfair for Villa Valle to take the lead after the first 45 minutes. The Rossoneri got a bit lucky, as such, but also deserve praise for the turnaround in the second half.

Late drama

Things had to get worse before they got better, though. The home side found the back of the net through Benzoni in the 65th minute. There and then, it seemed as if Milan Futuro were going to struggle to even get a point from the game.

However, thanks to a surprise opening after several dangerous chances for Villa Valle, Lorenzo Ossola was through on goal and chipped it past the keeper. That was in the 78th minute.

Just before the game was about to end in a draw, more specifically in the 92nd minute, a scrappy situation in the Villa Valle resulted in the ball landing at the feet of Fabio Pandolfi. He made no mistakes with the finish, giving Milan the lead.

It didn’t end there, though. In the 95th minute, Villa Valle got a free-kick in a dangerous position and it was head through to the back post, where it was converted. However, the flag was quickly up for offside, even if it was difficult to see on the replays if that was the correct call or not.

Anyway, for Milan Futuro, it’s a very positive start to the season with three wins and one draw in the first four league games.
