An important win for "the Tigers"

Al-Ittihad are back in the top four of the Saudi Roshn League. A comprehensive win over Al-Ettifaq did the job, on a night that belonged to Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

The Tigers ran out 4-1 winners when the two sides met on Tuesday at Al-Ettifaq's stadium in the tenth round of the Saudi Roshn League.

Nigerian striker George Ilenikhena opened the scoring in the 16th minute. Colombian Richard Rios back-heeled the ball to him inside the penalty area, and he lashed it straight into the net with his left foot.

Sultan Haroun levelled for Al-Ettifaq in the 34th minute. Radi Al-Otaibi slipped him a long ball that sent him clean through on Serbian goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic, and he slotted it between the keeper's legs.

Algerian midfielder Houssem Aouar restored the lead for the Tigers in the 53rd minute. Ilenikhena rolled a low cross across an empty goal and Aouar turned it in.

Then came En-Nesyri. Introduced as a substitute in the closing stages, the Moroccan stole all the attention by making it 3-1 in the 80th minute, turning a low cross from Muhannad Al-Shanqiti into the net.

His second and the team's fourth arrived in the 85th minute, an outstanding header that buried a cross from Ahmed Al-Ghamdi.

Victory lifted Al-Ittihad to 20 points and fourth place in the table, two clear of Al-Ahli, who slip to fifth.

Al-Ettifaq, meanwhile, suffered a third defeat of the season. They stay on 15 points in eighth.
