(Video): Morgan Rogers scores superb solo goal against Man U

Morgan Rogers has stepped up when Chelsea needed him and scored a brilliant goal against Manchester United.

Chelsea have taken the lead against Manchester United!

Romeo Lavia pinched the ball in midfield really well just after half time and played a great ball into Morgan Rogers. The attacker took things into his own hands, surging through the middle of the Man U midfield and defence with a direct dribble towards goal.

His touch and acceleration took him away from his pursuers, and a deft chipped finish over Senne Lammens was the icing on the cake.

Alonso feels the relief as Chelsea take another early half lead

That could be a truly massive goal for Xabi Alonso. Things were trending in the wrong direction, and we were perilously close to going behind in this game after a poor showing in the first half. That would have frustrated the crowd, and it might have been difficult to come back from that.

With the lead, we can now use our talent on the break to try and pick off Man U and seal the win.

Marco Palestra had a horrible first half, and needs to up his game in the second period.

Chelsea are playing a shocker against Man U in the first half, and one player in particular is getting a lot of blame.

We said we would get some answers abut certain players in this game – and we certainly have. We’re not sure we like what we’ve found out.
