Video: Al-Fayha embarrass Al-Ahli's goalkeeper twice

Thrills at the end of the first half: a strong response in the second

Al-Fayha stunned hosts Al-Ahli with a goal against the run of play in the 45th minute, punishing their hosts for pushing forward in search of a lead at Al-Majma'ah Stadium in the tenth round of the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Ahli pressed hard for the opener, piling attacks down the flanks. But Al-Fayha held firm, snuffing out the danger and repeatedly catching their opponents offside.

With Al-Ahli committing numbers forward, Al-Fayha struck on the break in the 45th minute. The move began on the left, full-back Ahmed Bamsaud feeding Hugo Mora, who carried the ball from midfield to the edge of the box before lashing a thunderous right-footed drive into the top-right corner. Goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi had no answer.

The response came quickly. Artem Bondarenko, on as a substitute for the injured Ziyad Al-Johani, drew Al-Ahli level in the third minute of added time to make it 1-1 at the break.

Firas Al-Buraikan put Al-Ahli ahead from the penalty spot in the second half, but Al-Fayha hit back once more. Jason beat Al-Sanbi with another rocket in the 65th minute, leaving the keeper helpless for a second time.
