The bells of return are ringing: Mohamed Ouahbi opens the doors of the Morocco squad before the November camp
A new stage for the Atlas Lions
Morocco are preparing for a new chapter in their African qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals. All eyes are on the names Mohamed Ouahbi, the Atlas Lions' head coach, will turn to for two eagerly awaited fixtures against Niger next November.
Ouahbi will hold a press conference in the conference hall at the Mohammed VI Football Complex next Wednesday. There he will announce the squad called up for the upcoming preparatory camp ahead of the two matches.
The camp gets under way on Monday 9 November 2026, when Morocco begin preparing for the two fixtures against Niger. Those games fall on 13 and 17 November, forming the third and fourth rounds of Group One in the African qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Casablanca's Mohammed V Stadium hosts the first fixture on 13 November, with the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the capital Rabat staging the second on 17 November. The Atlas Lions will be chasing more progress in the qualifiers and hoping to meet their objectives before the competition is completed.
