Renee Slegers has confirmed Chloe Kelly is still sidelined with a hamstring injury and has yet to return to training with the Arsenal Women squad.

The Arsenal boss revealed that a small injury was found after further assessment and she will miss Saturday’s game against rivals Tottenham.

“She has had issues with her hamstring, has had symptoms and there has been some small injury in the hamstring,” Slegers said.

“She’s still not training with the team, she’s not out on the pitch yet, but she’s making good progress in her rehabilitation.”

“Obviously she’s not able to train because of the pain and the symptoms, and we hope that she, as soon as possible, is back fit again and fully ready to go and compete for us again.”

Elsewhere, Arsenal will have the same squad available as they did against Birmingham, with Daphne van Domselaar set to be involved despite not yet being ready to play.

“Daphne will be in the squad, it’s too early to play, but we want to get her back in the routine with the team and she’ll do the warm-up,” Slegers said.

“Kim (Little) is managing a knock as well, we hope to have her back soon but she won’t make it this weekend.

“Katie (Reid) is training with the team now and looks really good. Mich (Agyemang) is working in the background, so that’s everything so far.”
