Gerry Cardinale was present at Milanello today and according to a report, it wasn’t just to show his support for the team and Ruben Amorim.

Before the start of today’s training session, Cardinale arrived at the training ground along with the club’s CEO Massimo Calvelli and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer James Fontanella-Khan. He said a few words to the journalists present before entering the complex.

With a game scheduled between Milan and Sassuolo tomorrow, which Cardinale will attend, it was initially reported that he was at the training ground to show his support. And he did so during Amorim’s press conference, but it was the only reason for his visit.

Mercato moves to discuss

According to Sky Italia, via Calciomercato.com, Cardinale also took the opportunity to discuss the January transfer window with the management. There is some time to go before that window opens, but the Rossoneri want to be fully prepared.

Various players have been linked with the clubs in recent weeks, but perhaps above all the centre-back Goncalo Inacio and the striker Endrick. Just yesterday, Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted how the team could look with them arriving.

Another thing worth noting, as pointed out by Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, is that Cardinale recently injected €50m to boost the club’s shareholders’ equity. He didn’t need to do that to cover the loss made in 2025-26, so it’s a clear sign of investments on the cards.
