Rivera: “FIGC presidency? Malagò and Galliani aren’t up to it. I should do it.”

Former Ballon d’Or winner: “I’d go there and take care of football; those two aren’t capable

"Galliani or Malagò as president of the Italian Football Federation? I’d say Rivera. I should do it myself, but they don’t understand it very well. I don’t know if they’re capable."

Gianni Rivera, an AC Milan and Italy legend who won the Ballon d’Or in 1969, spoke on Un Giorno da Pecora on Radio1.

Born in 1943, Rivera added: "If someone who understands football goes there, it’s dangerous. I’d go there and take care of football. Those two aren’t capable."

On Harry Kane's Ballon d'Or win, Rivera, one of the five Italians to have won the award alongside Omar Sivori, Paolo Rossi, Roberto Baggio and Fabio Cannavaro, says: "It's the right choice, I would have given the award to the English striker too".
