The season is long and Milan have only played a few games so far, so it’s not a case of being unredeemable. However, it is clear that there are certain players struggling with the system, as reports have highlighted.

Duo need help from Amorim

Pianeta Milan has looked into the situation, first looking at Goncalo Ramos. In the summer, the striker thrilled fans; it was a sign of something new to buy into. However, his performances have underwhelmed.

It’s no secret that he’s struggled since arriving, scoring just once. He’s seemed alone and, above all, not dangerous. What is concerning, though, is that he has already been compared to Santiago Gimenez, who found the target more often with fewer touches.

Then, we come to Modric, whose problem is structural. Amorim convinced him to stay, but he finds himself ‘penalised’ by the system. He’s no longer allowed to dictate the tempo of games; instead, he seems like a victim of its pace.

In the coming weeks, Amorim will have only one mission: to get the duo back to their best. After all, they’re key figures in the project for different reasons.
