Pavonese 1-1 Milan Futuro: Asanji scores again to earn good point with 10 men
Milan Futuro battled hard against Pavonese in the rearranged Serie D matchday six fixture on Wednesday night and got a 1-1 draw.
After failing to make the most of a one-man advantage at the weekend, conceding a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Club Milano, it was the Futuro’s time to benefit from having a numerical disadvantage.
The Rossoneri were forced to play with ten men from the 56th minute following Colombo’s red card, and yet they went ahead in the 76th minute through Asanji, who scored for the third consecutive game.
Unfortunately the lead didn’t last long, with Faye equalising just two minutes later for the home team. However, the team did not collapse from there and ultimately ground out an important point on the road.
Another thing worth mentioning is that head coach Sergio Navarro was without several players: Ossola, Perera, Malick Cissé, Menon and Vos had all been called up for Milan vs. Bologna, given the first team injury crisis.
This also gave seven Primavera players a place in the matchday squad. The schedule remains busy: after their next league match, the Futuro will also have to complete their fixture against Piacenza, which was suspended at half-time due to the referee getting injured.
