Pandolfi speaks after scoring late winner for Milan Futuro: “We are a great team”

Fabio Pandolfi was very happy after Milan Futuro’s comeback win against Villa Valle earlier today, finding the back of the net in added time.

Sergio Navarro’s side managed to build on their positive start, securing their third win in four league games. However, the three points were far from a given as Villa Valle made things really difficult from start to finish.

In the end, Pandolfi was the one who got to score the winner, making the most of a loose ball in the box. After the game, he was interviewed by AC Milan Inside and praised his teammates for acting as a team, not giving up despite the tough situation.

What are your thoughts on the win?

“We played a great game, even though we conceded first. It wasn’t easy, but we stayed together and did a good job of turning it around.

Assist or goal, what do you prefer?

“Both. Given my role, I should be setting up my teammates. Today I also scored, so even better.”

What are your thoughts on Serie D?

“This is a tough league. They constantly push you, but all of that helps you improve. With the coach, we have built a good group and our qualities are evident on the pitch. We are a great team.”

As a result of the win, Milan Futuro are now third in the standings, level on points with Chievo Verona who have a game in hand. While there are still things that need to be improved, the feeling is already that this could be a better season than the last one.
