The American’s previous contract had been due to expire at the end of the 2026-27 season, although there was an option to extend for an additional 12 months until the summer of 2028. His new deal will see him through until the end of the 2030-31 season, at which stage Pulisic will be 32 years of age.
Pulisic will earn a guaranteed base salary of €6.5m per season, which could rise to €10m with bonuses included according to reports from The Athletic, citing sources close to the deal with knowledge of its nature.
Milan confirmed the news in a statement on the club website on Friday afternoon: “AC Milan is pleased to announce that Christian Pulisic has extended his contract with the Club through June 30th, 2031.
“Since joining the Rossoneri in July 2023, Christian has established himself as a key member of the team, standing out for his technical ability, character, consistency and unwavering work ethic. His 44 goals in 141 appearances for the Rossoneri highlight both his importance to the team and his role in the Club’s future plans.
“Pulisic’s contract extension reflects a shared commitment to building on the progress made together in recent years, with the ambition to keep improving, achieve new milestones and write more memorable chapters in the Club’s history.”
Pulisic is now into his fourth season with Milan having joined in a €22m deal from Chelsea in the summer of 2023.
He has made eight appearances across all competitions so far this season, coming up with two goals and an assist from his first six outings in Serie A. Milan sit in fifth place after nine matches of the season, following their first league defeat of the season against Bologna earlier this week.
