Official: Pavlovic will miss Milan’s game against Genoa due to injury

Strahinja Pavlovic’s absence for tomorrow’s game between AC Milan and Genoa has now been confirmed, with the shoulder injury still bothering him.
After playing through the pain in Milan’s 3-1 win against Inter, Pavlovic was left out of Milan’s squad for the mid-week clash against Ferencvaros. The goal was immediately clear: to recover in time for Sunday’s game against Genoa at the Marassi.
While Milan were hoping to see positive results in training today, it has instead been confirmed by the club that the Serbian won’t be called up by Ruben Amorim due to shoulder discomfort. He has been called up by Serbia for the upcoming break, but it remains to be seen if he will travel.
Replacement ready
As it has now been confirmed that Pavlovic will miss out, Sankhoun Diawara can prepare knowing that he will definitely start tomorrow. The same goes for Pervis Estupinan, who will take the Frenchman’s role in the left-back position, at least according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Davide Bartesaghi is an option too but he didn’t have the best of games against Ferencvaros on Thursday, and there might be some tiredness there. In any case, it’s a shame not to have Pavlovic available for what is clearly a very important game for the Rossoneri.
Not to mention that Matteo Gabbia and Fikayo Tomori are already on the sidelines, leaving Milan with few options at the back.
