Official: Kolo Muani surgery successful after fracture

Juventus confirm that striker Randal Kolo Muani had successful surgery on a fracture in his hand following the 2-0 win over Atalanta.

The centre-forward had sustained the injury during an accidental collision in last night’s Serie A victory at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin.

He was diagnosed with a fracture of the proximal phalanx, which made it necessary to go under the knife with osteosynthesis surgery.

That was performed today at the J|medical centre in Turin, part of the club’s Continassa complex, by De Loris Pegoli.

Kolo Muani can resume training after a couple of days, so will be available for coach Luciano Spalletti during the break for international duty.

The former Paris Saint-Germain star has scored one goal with two assists in six competitive games for the Bianconeri so far this season.

Juventus have a lengthy absentee list that includes Manuel Locatelli, Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram, Juan Cabal, Andrea Cambiaso, Kamil Grabara, Jeremie Boga and Jeff Ekhator.
