Official: Fiorentina sign Beto from Everton in €18m deal

Fiorentina have officially confirmed their signing of former Udinese centre-forward Beto on a permanent transfer from Premier League side Everton on the final day of the Serie A transfer window.

Fiorentina have confirmed that they have signed Beto, 28, on a permanent transfer from Everton after a three-year spell in the Premier League. Reports in Italy and the UK confirm that La Viola have agreed to pay a total package of €18m for the Portuguese striker’s services.

He comes in as a replacement for Italy international Moise Kean, who has joined Como on loan with an obligation to buy at a cost of €40m on deadline day.

Beto joined Everton in a €30m deal from Udinese in the summer of 2023 and has since gone on to score 20 goals from 99 appearances in the Premier League: Nine in 2025-26 and eight in 2024-25.

He had registered 10 Serie A goals in 2022-23 and 11 in the 2021-22 season during his previous spell in Italy.

It has been an incredibly busy transfer window for Fiorentina, who have also brought in Christ Inao Oulai from Trabzonspor, Arthur Atta from Udinese, Mateo Pellegrino from Parma, Viery from Gremio, Victor Caldepenas from Real Madrid, Alieu Njie from Fiorentina, Alex Jimenez from AFC Bournemouth, Joao Mario from Juventus, Radu Dragusin from Tottenham and Franco Mastantuono from Real Madrid.

Wilfried Gnonto is also expected to join on loan with an option to buy from Leeds United on deadline day.

This brings Fiorentina’s total summer spend close to the €150m mark.
