Official: Christian Pulisic signs contract renewal with AC Milan until 2031

AC Milan have announced the contract renewal of Christian Pulisic, tying the American star to the club until 2031.

On Tuesday this week, the news broke that Pulisic’s contract renewal was imminent after ‘an agreement in principle’ had been reached between the parties. Sure enough, the No.11 arrived at Casa Milan yesterday to sign his new deal with the club.

As we highlighted in our latest newsletter, as Pulisic still benefits from the Growth Decree, the reported pay rise from €4m to €5m will not cost them a fortune. As opposed to €9.25m gross without the Decree, they will pay €6.55m.

Pulisic’s renewal: the official statement

On their website this afternoon, Milan announced the long-awaited news and confirmed that the new contract will run until 2031.

“AC Milan is pleased to announce that Christian Pulisic has extended his contract with the Club through June 30th, 2031.

“Since joining the Rossoneri in July 2023, Christian has established himself as a key member of the team, standing out for his technical ability, character, consistency and unwavering work ethic. His 44 goals in 141 appearances for the Rossoneri highlight both his importance to the team and his role in the Club’s future plans.

“Pulisic’s contract extension reflects a shared commitment to building on the progress made together in recent years, with the ambition to keep improving, achieve new milestones and write more memorable chapters in the Club’s history,” the statement reads.

With 44 goals and 28 assists in 144 games to his name, the 28-year-old has been a key player in the last few seasons and Milan believe that he’s about to enter his prime years. Securing the renewal was thus an important step forward for the club’s entire project.
