Milan are reportedly hoping to tie Adrien Rabiot down to a new, longer-term contract according to reports on Wednesday, following an agreement over a new Rossoneri deal with star attacker Christian Pulisic.

Report: Milan hoping to tie Rabiot down to new contract

According to reports earlier this week, Milan have an agreement in place with USA star Pulisic, whose current deal is set to expire at the end of the season. The Rossoneri have an option to extend that agreement by another year, but are instead expected to hand him a new and improved contract until the summer of 2031.

Meanwhile, reports on Wednesday claim that after Pulisic’s deal is formally wrapped up – he is expected to sign in the near future – a new contract for Rabiot will be the next item on the club’s agenda.

The Frenchman is under contract until the summer of 2028, and though he will be 33 at that point, Milan are still hoping to tie him down ‘for another few years’ according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com). The latest updates claim that negotiations have already begun.

Rabiot joined Milan from Marseille last summer for a fee of just €10m with bonuses included. He is now into the second year of a three-year contract, which earns him a reported net salary of €5m per season.

Milan are hoping to tie him down to a similar set of terms on his next contract according to Wednesday’s reports.
