Mary Earps 'over the moon' to reveal birth of 'secret' baby boy with partner Kitty Forrest
Former England goalkeeper Mary Earps has revealed the birth of a “secret” baby boy with partner Kitty Forrest, saying she was “over the moon” to share the news.
The ex-Lioness, who revealed her relationship with Forrest a year ago, had not previously shared that the pair were expecting a child.
Earps revealed that ‘Baby Forrest Earps’, whose first name she did not disclose, was born on 5 November, announcing the news in an Instagram post chronicling the couple’s pregnancy and a YouTube video.
She said at the beginning of the video: “I’ve been keeping a little secret from you all, and I don’t think I can talk my way out of this one, so I’m going to have to show you.”
On Instagram she wrote: “I can’t quite believe I’m writing this, but yesterday Kitty and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy into the world!
“We’re absolutely over the moon and still trying to take it all in. It’s been such an emotional journey getting to this point, and we couldn’t be more excited to begin this next chapter of our lives as a family of three.
“Already a full-time footballer, and now a full-time mum too! There’s so much I’m looking forward to sharing with you all as I navigate life in football, motherhood and everything in between. I can’t wait to bring you along for the ride!
“For now, we’re soaking up every second of our little bubble. Thank you for all the love and support along the way. It means more than you know, and I’m so excited to share this new adventure with you all.
“Baby name to be revealed! Our greatest adventure starts here.”
Earps was an integral part of the title-winning Lionesses squad at Euro 2022 and reached the World Cup final with England the following year. She retired from international football last summer.
A former Manchester United shot-stopper, Earps spent the last two seasons at Paris Saint-Germain before signing for London City Lionesses this summer.
Former England teammates including Alex Greenwood, Lucy Bronze, Chloe Kelly and Ella Toone were among those to offer their congratulations to the couple.
