Lamine Yamal makes striking claim about Rashford: 'I wasn't impressed by that'

Lamine Yamal made striking comments about Marcus Rashford in an interview with Movistar. The forward said Rashford had no idea what it meant to play in an El Clásico.

Yamal played alongside Rashford at Barcelona last season after the Englishman joined the Spanish giants on loan from Manchester United.

In his interview with Movistar, Yamal said Rashford's intensity against Real Madrid did not impress him at first.

"I still remember looking at Rashford during his first Clásico and I was not impressed by his intensity. He did not know what it was to play this match," the 19-year-old winger began.

"It was only when we played them for the second time that season that he understood it. He scored from a free-kick and played with a completely different intensity," Yamal said.

"If you come from La Masia (Barcelona’s youth academy, ed.), then you know what a match against Real Madrid means. It is a pure battle," he concluded.
