He returned to take revenge: Ronaldo breaks Toney's record and challenges Youssef En-Nesyri
Cristiano Ronaldo has overtaken Ivan Toney at the top of one Saudi Pro League list. The Al-Nassr captain fired a treble against Al-Khaleej on Thursday evening, in the twelfth round of the Roshn Saudi League, to move clear of the Al-Ahli striker for the most hat-tricks in the competition.

His three goals drove Al-Nassr to a 5-3 win over Al-Khaleej. The Portuguese star was at his ruthless best, stretching his scoring record in the Saudi league with yet another treble.
According to the football statistics network "Opta", that was Ronaldo's seventh hat-trick in the Pro League. No player has managed more since his debut in the competition, with England's Ivan Toney left behind on six trebles for Al-Ahli.
Thursday's goals lifted Ronaldo to seven for the season, second on the Roshn Saudi League scoring chart alongside Italy's Mateo Retegui of Al-Qadsiah and Morocco's Youssef En-Nesyri of Al-Ittihad.
Toney still leads the way. The England man has 13 goals so far, and the race for the Golden Boot is heating up after 12 rounds.
Ronaldo's surge underlines his scoring pedigree in the Roshn League, planting his name among the competition's leading record holders. Toney, meanwhile, keeps chasing, desperate to pull clear again in Al-Ahli's upcoming matches.
That fresh hat-trick hands Ronaldo another boost in the league's record race. It also proves his goals keep flowing despite his advancing years, as the Portuguese forward looks to carry on writing history in the Al-Nassr shirt.
