Former Juventus CEO Comolli joins Pisa as president and chief executive
Former Juventus CEO Damien Comolli has been appointed president and chief executive of Serie B side Pisa.
According to TMW, the Frenchman has signed an initial three-year contract and will also join the club’s board, taking over from Giuseppe and Giovanni Corrado, who have led Pisa for the past decade.
“After several seasons in which we have seen significant improvements in every area of the club, I believe the time has come for Pisa SC to enter a new phase of growth and development,” majority shareholder Alexander Knaster said in a club statement. “I’m convinced this can happen under Damien’s leadership. He brings great experience and a deep knowledge of football, both on and off the pitch.”
Comolli returns to Italian football after Juventus exit
Comolli resigned from Juventus on June 12 after a year in Turin, having joined as general director in June 2025 before replacing Maurizio Scanavino as CEO that November. His spell was undermined by a disappointing transfer campaign, clashes with Luciano Spalletti and the failure to qualify for the Champions League. Juve have since turned to Giovanni Carnevali.
He has previously held senior roles at Tottenham, Liverpool and Toulouse, where he was president.
“I’m very happy to join Pisa SC as president and CEO,” Comolli said. “Under Alexander Knaster’s ownership, the club has made truly significant progress. It’s an exciting club to join, with major potential for growth, starting with its organisation and the construction of a new, state-of-the-art training centre. Forza Pisa!”
Knaster also paid tribute to the outgoing Corrados, who “have been the heart and soul of Pisa SC over the last ten years”.
“Ten years represent an era,” they said in response. “Pisa Sporting Club will always remain a fundamental part of our lives.”
