John Eustace has admitted Sondre Langas is in a “bad way” after the Derby County defender suffered a groin injury in the 4-0 defeat to QPR.

The Norway international was forced off after just 10 minutes at Loftus Road, having picked up the problem while making a last-ditch tackle to deny Rayan Kolli.

Eustace is now waiting to learn the full extent of the injury, with Langas expected to undergo a scan.

“He’s in a bad way,” Eustace said.

“It doesn’t look good so we’ll just have to wait and see.

“I assume he will go for a scan today.”

The worry over Langas adds to Derby’s defensive injury crisis, with Max Johnston, Charlie Taylor, Eiran Cashin, Derry Murkin, Craig Forsyth and Matt Clarke all currently sidelined.
