CorSport: Rabiot’s significance proven again in Europe – renewal talks heating up
AC Milan have relied on Adrien Rabiot in recent seasons and this season is no different. As a result, renewal talks are accelerating significantly.
Despite suggestions that the ‘Rabiot factor’ had worn off, the win against RB Salzburg proved that he’s still vital. He assisted Alphadjo Cisse’s third goal, but he was pivotal in the build-up to his other goals. In short, he remains as vital as he has always been.
He’s scored three and got three assists in eight games this season, a more complete player than he was even under Massimiliano Allegri. So, Milan are confident with what they want their next actions to be.
Rabiot’s renewal
Corriere dello Sport, via TMW, have reported that discussions are very much underway for a renewal and the Rossoneri wish to keep him at the club for another four years, with a deal expiring in 2030.
A decision is expected by the end of 2026 – confirming suggestions of three renewals before Christmas – and Veronique (his mother) is well involved in talks. The Diavolo are ‘pushing hard’ to secure his future, especially after Strahinja Pavlovic’s renewal and the Frenchman is expected to be the next to sign on the dotted line.
Another big renewal for Amorim, and for Milan generally.
