Camarda uncertainty at Milan: Supposed trust missing as Amorim changes tune
In the latest bonus podcast episode, Isak and Ben discussed the lack of playing time for Francesco Camarda, with Ruben Amorim seemingly changing his stance too.
Milan’s head coach was full of praise for Camarda in the summer, explaining that he absolutely must stay and be part of the Rossoneri’s project. He even made it clear that he not only needs to be the second-choice striker, but also ‘needs to feel it’.
Fast forward a few minutes and the No.73 has played just 68 minutes in total for Milan. He got the chance from start against RB Salzburg and didn’t exactly make the most of it, after which Amorim said there is still a lot of work to be done for the youngster.
On Thursday evening, the manager went another step in that direction by starting Alphadjo Cisse in the No.9 role instead of Camarda. It’s hard to see how the youngster can be and feel like the second choice in light of that.
