Francesco Camarda shared some words to try inspire the stars of the future during an event on Tuesday afternoon.

Camarda was present at the Paolo and Larissa Pini Institute for a one-on-one discussion with students and a lesson with the Sport and Health tutors, to help promote the value of sport and the desire to continue practicing it.

It was the player who asked the students questions for the most part, not the other way around. Camarda questioned them on their motivations behind playing sports, if they have ever considered quitting and if so why they chose to continue.

After the discussion, the practical part of the program began, with a physical activity lesson led by Sport e Salute tutors, in collaboration with Adidas too. Camarda spoke to some reporters present at the event, with his words via MilanNews.

“When you play football, you learn that you don’t have to do everything alone: you have team-mates, someone to help you, and someone who relies on you. And it’s not important to be the best to feel part of the team,” he said.

“That’s the beauty of sport: it gives you the chance to test yourself, have fun, and improve, even when you don’t succeed at something.

“If I can leave a message to the kids, it’s to not be afraid to try and not to think that sport is only for those who want to become a professional. It’s an experience that can give so much to everyone.”

Camarda himself is having to be patient and to wait for opportunities at the moment given his lack of playing time under Ruben Amorim, which may even mean evaluating another loan move away from his boyhood club.
