Ronaldo was already subject to an automatic provisional suspension until the date the proceedings opened, the statement said, before the council imposed an additional precautionary provisional suspension that does not apply automatically and granted the file urgent status.
The federation added that it referred the case today to its disciplinary investigation committee, confirming the details will remain confidential until the investigation concludes.
