Bosz springs surprise with name in PSV defence against FC Porto

PSV want revenge for Saturday's humiliating 2-1 defeat to ADO Den Haag. Peter Bosz has named his side for Tuesday's Champions League league-phase trip to FC Porto, where they have the chance to put things right. Kick-off is at 21:00.

Bosz has no worries in defence. Matej Kovár starts in goal, with Sergiño Dest at right-back and Filip Kostic at left-back. Lutsharel Geertruida and Yarek Gasiorowski form the centre-back pairing, with Gasiorowski replacing Armando Obispo.

In midfield, Kodai Sano and Mauro Júnior must once again provide control. Sven Mijnans, sent off against ADO Den Haag, has the job of linking midfield with PSV's attack.

Monday brought confirmation that Van Bommel isn't fit enough for the away match against Porto. He hasn't travelled to Portugal. Ivan Perisic, who was on the bench against ADO, therefore starts on the left wing. Esmir Bajraktarevic starts on the right, while the fit-again Guus Til plays as the central striker in Bosz's 4-2-3-1 system.

FC Porto line-up: Diogo Costa; Alberto Costa, Bednarek, Kiwior, Sanusi; Froholdt, Rosario, Veiga; Pepê, Samu, Pietuszewski

PSV line-up: Kovár; Dest, Geertruida, Gasiorowski, Kostic; Sano, Mauro Júnior, Mijnans; Bajraktarevic, Til, Perisic.
