Blackburn boss Mowbray expects new signings imminently
Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray has revealed that he expects new signings to arrive at the club very soon.
After a strong start in the Championship, Blackburn currently sit in sixth place after two fixtures. However, there is still the feeling that more additions need to be made to their squad.
As the transfer window approaches its final week, Rovers have signed just three new players. Nevertheless, Mowbray is still expecting to strengthen with new recruits in the coming days.
“That will change over the days we have got left,” the Blackburn boss told the Lancashire Post. “Things are happening today, I hope.
“Over the next week, I think things will speed up. There needs to be one or two outs first and then we can fill those spaces. I’m very sure that will happen.”
Mowbray continued: “I am not here stamping my feet about it too much. I think it would help the team if we brought in one or two to fill the spaces that I want to fill with different types of players.
“If we do that, that would be great. If not, that’s fine. The team has shown me it can dig in and work together.”
