Amorim returns Milan to the 99 version
Trouble off the pitch!
Milan continued to bleed points away from home in Serie A, after settling for a 1-1 draw against Sassuolo on Sunday in the sixth round, squandering their lead to repeat a figure not seen for more than a quarter of a century.
Opta's numbers tell the story. Milan have drawn 3 of their first 4 away matches this season in Serie A, the first time that's happened since the 1999-2000 campaign, when Alberto Zaccheroni's side managed one win and 3 draws from the same four fixtures.
All three points were there for the taking. Adrien Rabiot smashed one in from a tight angle on 63 minutes to put Milan ahead. Five minutes later it was level again: Armand Lauriente swung in a corner, the ball dropped inside the penalty area and Kaas Odenthal followed up to finish.
That leaves Milan on 12 points in fourth, with Sassuolo up to 8 in tenth.
