Amorim insists he still loves United despite being sacked by the club

Ruben Amorim insisted that he still loves Manchester United, despite being sacked by the club last season.

Amorim was sacked by the Manchester side last January after a 1-1 draw with Leeds United and clashing with the board in press conferences.

His new side AC Milan face Bournemouth in the Europa League on Thursday night and the Portuguese manager was asked about his former club.

“I moved on. I’m at another big club now,” he answered.

“My club is AC Milan — and we have a lot of problems to solve, because at every big club, trouble is always around the corner.”

“I’m focused on my team, my players and my staff.”

“What happened at Manchester United doesn’t change anything. I still love that club.”
