Thomas Tuchel is once again relying on Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cole Palmer for the England national team’s Nations League matches.

The high-profile pair left out by Germany boss Thomas Tuchel for the World Cup finals in the USA, Mexico and Canada have returned to his 27-man squad for the upcoming international window.

Tuchel came in for heavy criticism before the XXL tournament after leaving out Alexander-Arnold (Real Madrid) and Palmer (Chelsea FC). Bayern Munich star striker and captain Harry Kane leads the Three Lions again, while Bayer Leverkusen's Jarell Quansah is the second Bundesliga player in the squad.

England open their Nations League campaign against world champions Spain on 26 September (8.45pm). Then come away games in Czechia (29 September) and Croatia (3 October), before Tuchel's side meet the Czechs again on 6 October in their final match.
