Achraf Hakimi explains why Luis Enrique gave him a telling off despite incredible 5 G/A performance
Achraf Hakimi has revealed why he was getting a telling off after one of his goals on Friday night against Le Havre.
Achraf Hakimi was the star of the show on Friday night, picking up three goals and two assists for PSG as they battered Le Havre 5-1.
The Morocco star spoke to the TV cameras after the big win, and gave some interesting insight on the match.
Hakimi on Luis Enrique earful and “moving like a 9”
The wing back was devastating running up the right flank and getting into the box, and is playing some of the best football of his career.
“I feel comfortable playing with these teammates, we know each other inside out, we’re having a blast!” he said to Canal Plus. He also spoke about the freedom to attack his manager gives him.
“From time to time, I move like a number 9, I finish my actions like a number 9. It’s the coach who gives us those freedoms!”
That wasn’t the only thing that he had to say about Lucho: the coach was seen giving his star an earful after one of the goals, and Hakimi has now revealed why that was:
“The coach thought I was arguing with the referee. It’s true that I usually talk a lot with referees, but this time, it was just to ask if my goal was offside. It wasn’t bad faith!”
