Ab_utrika to Moreno and Simeone: enough courtesies, take Vinicius and Julian out of the derby

First half with no real chances

Mohamed Aboutrika, the former Al Ahly star, tore into Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho and Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone at half-time of Sunday's meeting between the two sides in the seventh round of La Liga.

The first half finished goalless. Violence, physical clashes and major refereeing controversy dominated a period that produced nothing serious at either end.

Analysing the game on beIN Sports, Aboutrika said: "Mourinho and Simeone are being over-generous with the line-up, and in the second half, whoever abandons the generosity will win."

"Simeone must take off his son (Giuliano) immediately, as he is not offering anything, and if Atletico want to win they must substitute him," he added.

Vinicius came next in his sights. "Mourinho is also being generous with Vinicius, he must take him off if he wants to win, and there are those on the substitutes' bench who deserve to play, such as Bernardo Silva," he continued.

He went on: "The two teams are not producing real football. Where are the chances? We want real chances, and if you were to pick out incidents they would be refereeing incidents, and the referee goes to the VAR screen, and does not show the red card, why does he do that?."

"Real Madrid and Atletico have been affected by the beautiful football Barcelona produce in their matches, but we want football worthy of the derby," Aboutrika added.
