PSG blew Villarreal out of the water to continue their perfect Champions League record so far this season: scoring four first half goals in an eight minute period to cruise into a half time lead in Spain, as the hosts were left stunned by the quality of the European Champions. PSG ended up scoring six, as David Boly, a seventeen year old making his third career appearance and on his Champions League debut, put the icing on the cake with a second half goal.

Joao Neves bundled in the first for the Parisians, tucking in after a corner dropped to his feet after eight minutes played. It's a fourth career Champions League goal for the Portuguese man, and a first of the season for Neves, who ended up scoring an impressive seven goals last season from midfield.

The second PSG goal came via a woeful bit of play from veteran Villarreal goalkeeper Péter Gulásci, whose poor pass went straight to Maghnes Akliouche, who teed up Desiré Doué for a tap in. Things then went from bad to worse for Villarreal, who immediately conceded a third, with Gulásci once again failing with a back pass, which this time resulted in Senny Mayulu volleying in from close range.

PSG punished their hosts again four minutes later, as Akliouche teed up Fabian Ruiz, whose trivela shot buried into the bottom corner of Villarreal's goal. Villarreal, four down after 17 minutes, were probably relieved at half time, as they escape any further punishment before the break.

However, this reprieve proved short lived: PSG came out in the second half with renewed verve, and Ruiz quickly scored his second goal of the game, slotting in with the outside of his left foot after a glorious free kick from Vitinha, that found the Spaniard in space: Ruiz's control and finish was a classy reminder of PSG's midfield quality.

Ferran Torres, Quentin Ndjantou, Mika Godts and young 17 year old David Boly (who only made his Ligue 1 debut this weekend) were then introduced by Luis Enrique over the next few minutes, as the Spanish coach rotated his side ahead of their home game against Troyes this weekend. Minutes later, things went from bad to worse for Villarreal, as the youngster Boly, making only his third ever professional appearance, scored PSG sixth goal in his first ever Champions League game. Boly, played in down the right hand side by Neves, smashed in past Gulásci to spark wild celebrations from his teammates and from the PSG fans.

PSG will be delighted with this result and can now look ahead to the aforementioned game against Troyes in a fine run of form: now having won ten games in a row across all competitions, including three impressive Champions League victories that see them top the European table after four games played. Enrique's men had initially made a tricky start to the season but that blip looks to be well behind them as they now look as devastatingly good as they have done at their very best over the last two seasons. If performances like this are anything to go by, a third successive Champions League success may certainly be on the cards for the Parisians.
