AC Milan have again been linked with a move for Brest central defender Raphael Le Guen ahead of the winter window.

TMW confirm that the target for the January transfer window remains central defender and among the various options, there’s also a new name on Milan’s list. The process isn’t over, even though some things are already being narrowed down.

The profiles of Sporting CP’s Gonçalo Inacio, Borussia Dortmund’s Luca Reggiani and Lecce’s Tiago Gabriel are ideas the club is keeping open. All three have been explored in-depth, but a final decision hasn’t been made yet.

As mentioned, Milan have recently made moves for Brest’s Raphael Le Guen. The French centre-back is just 20 years old and already has a fairly long contract with his club, running until 2029. Milan scouts have seen him several times and have returned with excellent reports.

Ruben Amorim likes the player and has already expressed a very positive opinion. Compared to Inacio – who is valued at €35-40m, the costs are more affordable – but it’s crucial to understand Brest’s position, as they don’t want to part with their star player right now.

Over the next month, Milan will decide on their options, then launch a decisive attack to give Amorim another player who can add further quality to a rearguard that is young and has been stretched. As a reminder, Matteo Moretto also recently mentioned Le Guen’s name as a target.
