Barcelona have won only two of their previous seven visits to Paris, albeit one of these victories did come when they were last at the Parc des Princes in 2024, prevailing 3-2, albeit they were knocked out at Montjuïc a week later following a 4-1 loss.

Overall, their 13 encounters this century have produced 54 goals, meaning one is scored every 21 minutes on average, a figure that could decrease further here. Ahead of this heavyweight clash, check out our preview, predictions, team news and TV info.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Barcelona match preview

Barcelona continue to be flawless this season, but that record will be sorely put to the test this week. On Saturday evening, Hansi Flick's side scored another five, this time demolishing Real Betis 5-2 at La Cartuja. It was a close game until Facundo Bernal was sent off with the score 3-2, before Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo were both on target to secure the victory.

Amazingly, Barça have played 11 and won 11 to start the season, scoring a ridiculous 48 goals. In the Champions League so far, the Blaugrana have bulldozed Feyenoord 5-1 and then Galatasaray 4-1, despite actually falling behind in İstanbul a week ago.

Now though, with this trip to the reigning, back-to-back European champions, followed by Sunday's Clásico at Camp Nou, if Barcelona still boast a flawless record by then, they will have made two serious statements.

As for Paris Saint-Germain, as they target a three-peat, how are they looking? Like his former side, Luis Enrique's team also have maximum points in the Champions League. Les Rouge-et-Bleu annihilated Slovan Bratislava, before a thumping 4-2 victory over Manchester City last mid-week.

Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha were all on target during a mesmerising first half an hour at the Etihad. Man City did fight back after the break, but Maghnes Akliouche's strike, that went in despite a big hand from Gianluigi Donnarumma, quelled any hope of a comeback.

In Ligue 1, since failing to win any of their first three, les Parisiens have won four on the spin. They looked to be in a spot of bother at Stade de la Meinau on Saturday, 1-0 down against Strasbourg, but three goals in the final 13 minutes, two from substitutes Doué and Dembélé, secured victory in the Alsace.

It is though all about the Champions League for PSG. En route to their two titles, they have finished 15th and 11th in the league phase, very much on course to do much better this time round. Predicting a winner at Parc des Princes is nigh on impossible, but goals are more than guaranteed.

Paris Saint-Germain team news

Unlike other European clubs, Luis Enrique is able to heavily rotated pretty much every weekend. Ousmane Dembélé will be up against his former club here. He, alongside Désiré Doué, both came off the bench to score at Strasbourg on Saturday, while Nuno Mendes, Achraf Hakimi, William Pacho, Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz were also rested, while Marquinhos did not even travel.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and João Neves were substitutes at the Etihad, underlining PSG's squad depth, both forecast to start this time. Ferran Torres and Dro Fernández are two more ex-Barça men.

Barcelona team news

Hansi Flick is without Andreas Christensen but Frenkie de Jong was back on the bench at the weekend, hoping to feature for the first time since suffering an injury during the World Cup. Raphinha and Anthony Gordon did come off the substitutes bench against Betis, the former back after suffering a groin injury on international duty.

Predicted Line-ups

Paris Saint-Germain predicted lineup: Safanov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Vitinha, João Neves, Fábian; Doué, Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia.

Barcelona predicted lineup: García; Koundé, E García, Cubarsí, Cancelo; Rodri, Pedri, Fermín; Lamine Yamal, Gordon, Raphinha.

Score prediction: Paris Saint-Germain 2-2 Barcelona.
