Paris Saint-Germain go to Lille on Friday night after a 2-2 draw at Rennes in week one
Last season's surprise package Lens scored five times in their opener and visit Strasbourg on Saturday
Marseille visit Monaco on Sunday evening after a hefty opening home success
Champions Paris Saint-Germain made a stuttering start to the Ligue 1 season as they had to come from 2-0 down at Rennes on Sunday evening.
Luis Enrique's side had also failed to win the French Super Cup against Lens previously and will be eager for a first domestic success as they travel to Lille on Friday night.
Marseille and Lens were the big winners in week one, combining to score nine goals, and both go on the road this weekend.
Lille vs Paris Saint-Germain – Friday August 28 (7.45pm)
Davide Ancelotti, son of Carlo, picked up a win at Angers in his first Ligue 1 game as Lille boss and may feel that this is a good time for a visit from the champions. PSG stuttered at Rennes and both teams have scored in the last meetings in Lille.
Prediction: Lille 1-3 Paris Saint-Germain (17/2 with LiveScore Bet)
Strasbourg vs Lens – Saturday August 29 (4.15pm)
Lens were the surprise package last season and came out of the gates fast with a 5-2 win against Auxerre, while 10-man Strasbourg eventually leaked four at Marseille.
Prediction: Strasbourg 1-2 Lens (6/1 with LiveScore Bet)
Auxerre vs Angers – Saturday August 29 (7.45pm)
Opening weekend defeats for both of these sides after bottom-six finishes last term. Angers were joint-lowest scorers in 2025-26 and have lost their last three trips to the Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps.
Prediction: Auxerre 2-0 Angers (6/1 with LiveScore Bet)
Brest vs Toulouse – Saturday August 29 (7.45pm)
Key summer departures showed as Toulouse went down at home against Lyon and they now face a Brest side that really should have got more than a 2-2 draw at Le Mans in their curtain-raiser.
Prediction: Brest 2-0 Toulouse (17/2 with LiveScore Bet)
Lorient vs Troyes – Saturday August 29 (7.45pm)
Both of these sides were involved in scoreless draws in week one. Promoted Troyes will be pleased with that start while only one side had more Ligue 1 draws than Troyes last season.
Prediction: Lorient 1-1 Troyes (19/4 with LiveScore Bet)
Lyon vs Le Havre – Saturday August 29 (7.45pm)
Lyon soaked up pressure and scored twice on the road in their win at Toulouse in week one while Le Havre really struggled to carve out chances in a home defeat against Monaco. The hosts can win this fixture for a third season on the trot.
Prediction: Lyon 2-0 Le Havre (5/1 with LiveScore Bet)
Paris FC vs Nice – Sunday August 30 (2.00pm)
Liam Rosenior was frustrated as his Paris FC side could not find a goal at Troyes last weekend; now they face another side involved in a scoreless week one encounter, Nice.
Strugglers last season, only one side conceded more goals than Nice and they managed just one shot on target against Lorient last week.
Prediction: Paris FC 1-0 Nice (5/1 with LiveScore Bet)
Rennes vs Le Mans – Sunday August 30 (4.15pm)
Both sides drew 2-2 in week one, Rennes at home against PSG and Le Mans perhaps fortuitously on their own patch against Brest. This is a first Ligue 1 meeting since 2009 and the home side have the attacking flair to edge it.
Prediction: Rennes 3-1 Le Mans (15/2 with LiveScore Bet)
Monaco vs Marseille – Sunday August 30 (7.45pm)
The home side has prevailed in the last four meetings of these two team and Marseille have lost their last three visits to the principality. There have been 16 goals in the last four meetings at the Stade Louis II.
