Del Piero on Yamal’s goal against PSG: “He hits it with a huge toe-poke. It’s spectacular.”

The former Juventus No 10: “He brings the ball down with his chest aggressively towards the defender. This changes the dynamics of the move.”

Lamine Yamal's collection of beautiful, seemingly impossible goals keeps growing. Yesterday, his Barcelona side lost 4-2 away to Paris Saint Germain, but the Spanish star scored another spectacular goal.

Speaking to Sky Sport, Alessandro Del Piero said: "It's a spectacle to see how he takes advantage, of course, of Zaire Emery's imprecision when playing the ball out. But let's start with the control: he brings it down with his chest straight away, aggressively towards the defender. This changes the dynamics of the move because he isn't waiting; he's immediately attacking the defender, who takes up an inside position because he's wary of his left foot. As soon as he sees that half-space, he bursts through, and then comes the genius. Arriving at that pace, he hits this toe-poked shot. Not only does he toe-poke it, he lifts it: I think he deliberately lifted it."
