Fleetwood Town vs Arsenal injury news as 5 ruled out and 2 passed fit
Arsenal are back in action on Tuesday night when they face Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup fourth round at Highbury.
The Gunners took care of business against Everton over the weekend, closing the gap on Manchester City to a matter of goal difference, while in League Two, Fleetwood are down in 18th after a difficult start and a defeat to Exeter City, although they did stun Sheffield United in the last round.
Ahead of this one, we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding both teams.
Andy Cannon - Fit
Fleetwood boss Matt Lawlor has confirmed that Cannon is back available, saying ahead of this one: "Cannon’s available for tomorrow night, which is fantastic for us. It’ll be his first minutes since Grimsby, so it won’t be from the start. We have to gradually build him up. You can see the quality of the player when he’s back on the training pitch. It’s really good to see him back.”
Finley Potter - Fit
Potter had a nasty cut near the eye over the weekend but wull be available here.
Kane Thompson-Sommers - Out
Thompson-Sommers will not be back in action until late November to December.
Will Johnson - Out
Johnson has been out on loan at Waterford but is not back at the club due to an injury that will keep him out until the new year.
Bukayo Saka - Out
Saka is going to be out for at least a few weeks with his hamstring issue. Arterta said last week: "He's got another MRI this afternoon because he had quite a lot of fluid in the area, so it was difficult to understand the extent of the injury. But we will know more probably tomorrow. We need a few more scans and opinions from the specialists."
William Saliba - Out
Saliba is going to be out until at least late November as he recoveres from his back surgery from the summer. Arteta's last update a couple of weeks ago read: "I think next week we have another MRI with him to see how the healing process is at the moment. But every sign so far has been very, very positive, and yeah, it will be great to have him."
Christos Tzolis - Out
At the same time, Arteta said: "Again, doing really well. Yesterday, he had another MRI scan to see how the injury is evolving. It's progressing really well. Another one that, hopefully, we can have back in a few weeks." Tzolis is likely to be out until at least the weekend, if not a touch longer.
