A funny moment in the clash at the Parc des Princes

Lucas Hernandez saved his best for more than just the pitch as Paris Saint-Germain beat Barcelona 4-2 at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, in the third round of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.

The France defender had just outshone Barca star Lamine Yamal, and he couldn't resist a dig at the young Spaniard after netting PSG's second goal.

With 72 minutes gone, Hernandez restored the lead with a powerful header from a Desire Doue corner.

Jogging back to his position, the Paris man ran into his direct opponent and had a little fun at his expense. The footage shows him patting Yamal gently on the shoulder, exchanging a few words, then turning to gauge the reaction and circling him for a moment.

Yamal stayed calm at first. Eventually, though, he cracked a smile at the ribbing from the 2018 World Cup winner.

That brief exchange rounded off a superb night for Hernandez, who started a Champions League game for the first time in two years.

Nuno Mendes was absent, so the 30-year-old slotted in at left-back with a tricky brief from Luis Enrique: shut down Lamine Yamal.

For the most part, he managed it, keeping the Barcelona forward from shaping the game across long stretches of the night.

There was a twist. Barca's young star finally found the net for Paris just minutes after Warren Zaire-Emery replaced Hernandez in the 79th minute, but the equaliser barely lasted. Vitinha quickly put Paris back in front before Fabian Ruiz sealed the win.
