Valverde's rocket hands Real Madrid the lead over Valencia

Huge brilliance from the Uruguayan

Fede Valverde put Real Madrid ahead against Valencia on Matchday 12 of La Liga with a stunning strike, the Uruguayan lashing a powerful effort into the net with his right foot. It conjured memories of his memorable goal against AEK Athens in the Champions League last week.

Kylian Mbappé teed it up. His direct free kick cannoned off the wall and dropped back into play, Valverde pounced on the rebound and drilled a low shot into the corner. Dimitrievski stretched out a hand but could not keep it out.

Once again, Valverde had shown his knack for finding the net from outside the box. The strike handed Real Madrid a crucial advantage against Valencia and underlined his ability to make the difference when it matters most.
