Under the eyes of Fabregas: Nico Paz is harsh on the Real Madrid loanee
Nico Paz led his club Como to a 3-1 win over hosts Fiorentina on Sunday, in the seventh round of the Italian league season.
Paz scored Como's second and created the third, taking his tally to two goals and two assists in seven appearances in the Italian league this season.
That result lifted Como to 14 points and fourth place, while Fiorentina stayed stuck on four, second from bottom.
Marca reviewed the main highlights of a fast-paced first half that featured an outstanding display from Paz, as usual. He imposed himself with his distinctive runs with the ball and scored a superb header in the 36th minute, rising above everyone to claim his side's second goal and put them 2-0 ahead.
Liberali had opened the scoring for Como before that, unleashing a fine strike that nestled just inside the post.
Paz also got the better of his fellow Argentine and international team-mate Franco Mastantuono. He caught him with a heavy challenge after scoring the goal, too, and picked up a yellow card for it.
There was plenty more to come before the break.
In the 43rd minute, Pongracic seized on a ball inside the penalty area to reduce the deficit with Fiorentina's first goal, making it 2-1.
With the final attack of the half, Mastantuono delivered a wonderful assist to Pongracic himself, who put the ball into the net. Fiorentina appeared to have drawn level at 2-2.
Five minutes of review later, the goal was ruled out for offside. Como stayed ahead by two goals to one.
More dazzling technical touches from Paz opened the second half. He surged forward with the ball in one attack, then played a decisive pass to his Greek team-mate Douvikas without looking at him, and Douvikas scored Como's third to make it 3-1.
Cesc Fabregas took Paz off shortly afterwards, half an hour before the end of the match, with the Argentine carrying a yellow card. Rest for an exceptional talent.
Goalkeeper David de Gea was one of Fiorentina's best players despite Paz's brilliance, while Mastantuono also put in a good performance and showed notable attacking qualities.
He came off in the 69th minute, then picked up a yellow card while sitting on the substitutes' bench.
