Rodrygo has set his sights on a Real Madrid exit with Premier League trio Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool all keen on the Brazil international, reports Spanish publication SPORT.

Rodrygo was heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabeu over the summer, with City a rumoured destination for the 24-year-old.

However, the Cityzens failed in their efforts to prise the forward away from the Spanish capital.

Rodrygo has struggled for game time in Spain

In the months since, Rodrygo has failed to break into Xabi Alonso's side, starting just five league games for Los Blancos.

Rodrygo caught the eye prior to the winter break as he was directly involved in a goal in three successive outings, scoring twice, including a fine strike against City in the Champions League.

City are again prepared to firm up their interest in Rodrygo, but would face competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool, with the pair weighing up a move for another forward this year.

Real Madrid, though, will be reluctant to lose Rodrygo in the January window as they look to close the gap on league leaders Barcelona over the coming weeks.

Real Madrid reluctant to sell Rodrygo this month

Rodrygo is tipped for a more prominent role in the Real Madrid XI with star striker Kylian Mbappe set for a spell on the sidelines.

The France captain is ruled out for the foreseeable future owing to a knee injury, which is a huge blow for both player and club.

Mbappe scored his 59th goal of the year in Real Madrid's final game of 2025, equalling the record set by Cristiano Ronaldo in 2013, while the 27-year-old leads the La Liga scoring charts having scored 18 league goals this season.

Real Madrid will hope to kick off 2026 with a win when they host Real Betis on Sunday. The capital outfit currently sit four points behind league leaders and defending champions Barcelona, who take on local rivals Espanyol on Saturday night.

Arsenal, City and Liverpool, meanwhile, are all in league action this weekend against Bournemouth, Chelsea and Fulham, respectively.
