Real Madrid predicted starting XI as they prepare to end Racing Santander's home streak
Real Madrid play Racing Santander in La Liga for the first time since beating Barcelona last Sunday, and it is yet another must-win game for the away side.
Racing Santander are still unbeaten at home in La Liga, and have not lost a game there since March, which is why this game will be much more difficult than Real Madrid fans would think.
Be that as it may, some rotations are to be expected, considering Real Madrid also play mid-week in Greece.
Here is the predicted starting XI for the game on Sunday.
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois
After not starting the Clasico due to illness, Courtois should return to the starting XI on Sunday night. There is no reason for him not to be there.
Right-back: Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent has barely played any amount of football in these last few weeks, which is why a start could be coming his way on Sunday. He is still Real Madrid's best natural right-back, but he's having to work incredibly hard just to get his foot in the door.
Centre-back: Antonio Rudiger
Jose Mourinho might give Ibrahima Konate some rest to manage his fitness, as everyone knows the injury issues he has been through in recent years. Still, Rudiger would be a great option to have in this position.
Centre-back: Dean Huijsen
Huijsen was electric against Barcelona, and will probably keep his place in the starting XI against Racing, too. Eder Militao is probably not ready for a start, meaning at least one of the two starting centre-backs will keep his place.
Left-back: Alvaro Carreras
Carreras has not been that bad at left-back this season, and Cucurella might get some well-deserved rest for this match.
Defensive midfielder: Arda Guler
Guler was in inspired form against Barcelona, and will probably keep his place in the XI afterwards, just in a different position.
Defensive midfielder: Aurelien Tchouameni
It is tough to narrow down which players will end up starting and who ends up on the bench, but Fede Valverde's knock - or even a lack thereof - would earn him a bit of rest. Tchouameni should keep his place in the XI.
Attacking midfielder: Jude Bellingham
Bellingham should retain his place in the starting XI after another monstrous performance against Barcelona, although he probably will get some time off in mid-week.
Right-winger: Endrick
Endrick could get just his second start at Real Madrid this season, and it'll be interesting to see how well he does.
Left-winger: Yan Diomande
Diomande will retain his place in the XI on Sunday, especially considering he is almost certain to be either on the bench or on the right in the Champions League, with Vinicius Junior being available to play.
Striker: Carlos Espi
Espi has played well for Real Madrid in limited minutes, but could get his first ever start for the club - something that is thoroughly deserved.
