Luis Garcia Plaza has guided Sevilla to two wins out of two at the start of the new LaLiga season.
  • Real Sociedad are unbeaten in nine at home vs Espanyol

  • Both teams have scored in 14 of Villarreal's last 16 matches

  • Levante have had just one shot on target in two games

Sevilla's bid to start a season with three straight LaLiga wins for the first time since 2006/07 will be put to the test by Atletico Madrid.

Any slip-up by Los Rojiblancos could see city rivals Real Betis leapfrog them with a positive result at Levante, meanwhile Barcelona bring down the curtain on Week 3 with a Monday night clash against Rayo Vallecano.

Racing Santander vs Elche – Friday August 28 (6pm)

Do not be overly influenced by Elche's 5-0 home drubbing by Barcelona - it was the 1-1 draw at Deportivo A Coruna (where they played nicely) which tells us more about them. Racing were outstanding at home last term but that was in the Segunda.

Prediction: Racing Santander 1-1 Elche (5/1 with LiveScore Bet)

Alaves vs Villarreal – Friday August 28 (8.30pm)

Two unbeaten sides meet at the Mendizorroza where the goals could fly in. Alaves have scored four goals, while Villarreal have already been involved in a pair of 2-2 draws.

Prediction: Alaves 3-3 Villarreal (30/1 with LiveScore Bet)

Levante vs Real Betis – Saturday August 29 (4pm)

No goals and one shot on target suggests something is wrong with Levante's attackReal , though they can keep Betis at bay.

Betis have had a pair of 1-0 wins over Real Sociedad and Valencia with precious little to get excited about.

Prediction: Levante 1-1 Real Betis (5/1 with LiveScore Bet)

Real Sociedad vs Espanyol – Saturday August 29 (6pm)

Trips to Betis and Real Madrid represent a tough start to the season for Real Sociedad, who will be delighted to be back in San Sebastián. They are strong at home, especially against Espanyol, against whom they have not lost on home turf in a decade.

Prediction: Real Sociedad 2-1 Espanyol (13/2 with LiveScore Bet)

Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid – Saturday August 29 (8.30pm)

You have to go back 20 years to the last time Sevilla won their first three LaLiga games and do not expect them to pull it off now.

Atletico Madrid looked suspect at the back in their 2-2 draw with Villarreal, but Sevilla have ridden gallons of luck against Rayo and Athletic.

Prediction: Sevilla 1-2 Atletico Madrid (7/1 with LiveScore Bet)

Real Madrid vs Malaga – Sunday August 30 (4pm)

Real Madrid eased past Espanyol, thumped Sociedad and you have to fear for Malaga at the Bernabeu. They have been to Madrid already and lost 2-0 at Atletico - this could end up far worse.

Prediction: Real Madrid 4-0 Malaga (8/1 with LiveScore Bet)

Deportivo A Coruna vs Valencia – Sunday August 30 (6.30pm)

Promoted Deportivo have kicked off their season back in the top-flight with a pair of draws and they should have nothing to fear from Valencia. It is two games without a goal for Los Che, who will be happy simply to get on the scoresheet.

Prediction: Deportivo A Coruna 1-1 Valencia (23/5 with LiveScore Bet)

Celta Vigo vs Athletic Bilbao – Sunday August 30 (8.30pm)

Athletic finished last season poorly with eight defeats in their last 12 and a 3-1 home loss to Sevilla was a dismal opening to the new season. Celta's 0-0 draw at Valencia was encouraging and they can build on that.

Prediction: Celta Vigo 2-1 Athletic Bilbao (8/1 with LiveScore Bet)

Osasuna vs Getafe – Monday August 31 (6.30pm)

Getafe's trip to Partizan Belgrade in the Conference League on Thursday has impacted preparation for the trip to Pamplona, though they should still be confident. Osasuna faded terribly last season and Getafe's away form is generally good.

Prediction: Osasuna 1-2 Getafe (11/1 with LiveScore Bet)

Barcelona vs Rayo Vallecano – Monday August 30 (8.30pm)

Barcelona were pretty much unbeatable at home last season, their 1-0 win over Rayo being one of their more modest efforts. Rayo have not scored in their last four trips to Barca and that streak is set to continue.

Prediction: Barcelona 3-0 Rayo Vallecano (13/2 with LiveScore Bet)
