Mbappe 9.0, Bellingham 8.0 | FC Barcelona 1-2 Real Madrid: Player ratings
Camp Nou witnessed a Real Madrid victory as the Los Blancos secured the all-important 3 points against arch-rivals FC Barcelona in a much-anticipated contest.
Real Madrid not only extended their winning streak, but also ended the Blaugranes’ 9-match unbeaten streak, hence preventing them from becoming the only team ever to win the first 10 league matches.
With this win, Los Blancos also closed the gap on both their Spanish rivals and are just 1 and 3 points off them.
That being said, here is how the Real Madrid players fared against FC Barcelona.
Player ratings
Andriy Lunin – 7.5/10
The Ukrainian had not started a Real Match since May 2026, but was suddenly pushed into the lineup after Thibaut Courtois suffered an injury. A solid, solid outing for Lunin. Kept his calm when he was being pressed and made a stunning one-handed save from a corner.
Fede Valverde – 7.5/10
Another day, another Fede masterclass as a right-back? Not surprised at all. Last-ditch and well-timed tackles. Sumptuous long balls and a defensive masterclass despite playing 40 minutes with an injury.
Ibrahima Konate – 7.5/10
Turning out to be a mainstay in Madrid’s defence, he showed his class yet again tonight. Cleared multiple crosses with ease (4), won 3/4 duels and made 9 defensive contributions overall.
Dean Huijsen – 7.0/10
Was a bit shaky at the start but regained his composure in another robust display. 10 clearances, 2 interceptions and 3 recoveries by the Spaniard.
Marc Cucurella – 8.0/10
Lamine Yamal in July said that he would eat Cucurella alive in the first Clasico of the season. But the reality was completely the other way around. The left-back did not give Lamine even the space to breathe and followed him everywhere on the pitch. Outstanding, to say the least.
Bernardo Silva – 7.0/10
Was there to provide calmness and did exactly that. The Portuguese dealt well when he was pressed and did not make any mistakes whatsoever.
Aurelien Tchouameni – 8.0/10
Without a doubt, his best performance of the season. Looked like a completely different player tonight. Kept his composure on the ball, made some impressive tackles, and overall had 8 defensive contributions.
Arda Guler – 8.0/10
Tonight Guler showed that he should be an undisputed starter in this lineup. They are a completely different side with him on the pitch. 2 big chances created and as many key passes. Also tried his luck at goal and found Mbappe in the empty spaces.
Jude Bellingham – 8.0/10
The Englishman always steps up in El Clásicos, and tonight was no different. Completed 3/3 dribbles, 56 touches, and won 13/18 duels. Shades of Zinedine Zidane were visible during his involvement in Madrid’s second goal.
Yan Diomande – 7.5/10
A solid outing in his debut El Clásico. Made it difficult for Xavi Espart and Joao Cancelo to deal with him. Played a crucial part in the opening goal.
Kylian Mbappe – 9.0/10
The Frenchman seems to have taken a liking to FC Barcelona, so much so that his brace tonight helped him reach 100 goals in Real Madrid colours. Out of the 100, 8 of them have been scored against the Blaugrana – making them his favourite opponent. Deservedly so, the Man of the Match.
Substitutes
Denzel Dumfries – 6.0/10
Failed to make any real impact defensively and looked shaky. 17 touches, and just 1 defensive contribution in a quiet 28-minute cameo.
Eduardo Camavinga – 7.5/10
Talk about immediate impact. In just a matter of 10 minutes, the Frenchman recorded an important assist to his national compatriot, made another key pass, a solitary defensive contribution and won 2/2 duels. Fantastic display.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – N/A
Just a minute on the pitch and understandably so, not enough to guarantee a rating.
Carlos Espi – N/A
Was also on for just a minute, which is not enough to guarantee a rating.
