Real Madrid have their biggest game of the season coming up this weekend as they travel to the Camp Nou for the El Clasico. Barcelona currently sits six points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga, with the two clubs in drastically different forms. Despite suffering their first loss of the season against PSG, Barcelona have been arguably the best team in Europe, toying with their opponents and scoring goals for fun.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, have been struggling all over the pitch so far this season and are nowhere near playing as a unified team like Barcelona are. Real head into El Clasico as major underdogs and will need a miracle if they hope to leave the Camp Nou with all three points. And for Real Madrid, there may be a small light at the end of the tunnel for Real Madrid, as Barcelona were handed a major injury blow in their match against PSG.

Dani Olmo's injury is a small light at the end of the tunnel for Real Madrid

Barcelona star Dani Olmo went off injured against PSG and has been diagnosed with an adductor injury and is expected to miss around a month of action. This rules the Spaniard out for El Clasico, which comes as a major blow to Barcelona, as Olmo has been a central figure in Hansi Flick's system to start the season.

Dani Olmo has been preferred to Fermin Lopez in the early parts of the season and has delivered one goal and four assists in 12 appearances, and has been a strong third leg in the attack with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal. Olmo has been more under the radar than the other two but has still played an important part in Barcelona's attack and will no doubt prove to be a major absence. His most likely replacement will be Fermin Lopez, who still hasn't reached his top form, after coming off an injury at the end of last season.

While Real Madrid are still major underdogs, Olmo's injury could be a light at the end of the tunnel and give them the smallest of chances to win. Real's last La Liga performance against Sevilla was their strongest team performance of the season so far, followed by another strong one against Leipzig, which could bring some confidence to go to the Camp Nou and pull off the unlikeliest of upsets.

Real Madrid will once again be without Vinicius Junior, who is still serving his four-game red card suspension, but in the one game they played without Vinicius, they played better as a team, so even with a big absence in Real Madrid's team, there is still a chance all three points could come home to the Bernabeu.
