Following a much-needed victory in the El Clasico, Real Madrid shifts its focus to Racing Club as the Los Blancos look to extend their winning streak.

Jose Mourinho confirmed at the pre-match conference that either Denzel Dumfries or Trent Alexander-Arnold will start, as Fede Valverde continues his recovery following an injury against FC Barcelona.

That being said, here is how Real Madrid is expected to line up against Racing Club.

Predicted Real Madrid line-up against Racing Club.

GK: Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian returns to the side after being sidelined just hours before the El Clasico. Andriy Lunin might feel hard done, but it is not easy to bench arguably the best goalkeeper in the world right now.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold

Against a defence that is known for leaking goals, Trent is the best weapon to use. His pinpoint crosses and ability to take corners and indirect free-kicks make him an asset to have in the squad.

CB: Ibrahima Konate

Barely put a foot wrong against FC Barcelona and has seemingly secured his place as one of the fixed starting centre-backs in the team.

CB: Dean Huijsen

The Dutch partnered Konate well and together they kept the Barca attack at bay. Jose Mourinho would hope this duo continues their form into this match as well.

LB: Marc Cucurella

Cucurella showed why the club signed him after a monstrous performance against Lamine Yamal. The 28-year-old would be eager to carry that form forward.

CM: Bernardo Silva

The Roma match showed why he deserves to start. Expected to keep his place in the line-up.

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni

He is known to blow hot and cold in his Real Madrid career so far. The Frenchman will look to build on the momentum from his performance against Barcelona.

RW: Arda Guler

Fair to say, Real Madrid’s creative engine so far? He can create a pass out of nowhere, possesses impeccable vision and oozes class whenever he has played this season.

CAM: Jude Bellingham

Has barely put a foot wrong ever since the World Cup, and that was evident in the last match. He could be rested for this match, but it will not be a surprise if the youngster starts.

LW: Yan Diomande

Talk about taking your chances. The Ivory Coast national has taken full advantage of Vini’s absence and showed why Madrid splashed 140 million on him.

ST: Kylian Mbappe

Came agonisingly close to winning the most prestigious prize in world football, but the cruel thing is he does not have time to dwell on it and will now look to add to his tally. Also reached 100 goals as a Real Madrid player with his brace in El Clasico.
